Each 100 gm contains:
Panthenol                     5 gm

Panthenol is the alcoholic analogue of D-pantothenic acid. Pantothenic acid is a precursor of co-enzyme A which is a co-factor for a variety of enzyme-catalyzed reactions involving transfer of acetyl groups.
As pantothenic acid is essential for normal epithelial function and since alcohol is absorbed percutaneously, Panthenol is used in various dermatologic disorders.

Indications & usage:
Dex-panthenol is indicated for the treatment of various skin disorders including burns, ulcers, wounds, anal fissures, fissured nipples and dressing after operations to enhance healing.

Dex-panthenol is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product.

Side effects:
Dex-panthenol is reported to be generally non-toxic.

Dosage and administration:

To be applied to the affected part once or twice daily.
For fissured nipples apply the cream directly after each feed in case of lactating mothers.
