Each 100 g contains:
Boric acid 65 g
Alum 25 g
Lactose 2.49 g
Texapon (sodium lauryl sulphate) 1 g
Phenol 1.25 g
Eucalyptol 1.25 g
Thymol 0.25 g
Menthol 0.01 g
Tween 60 1.5 g
Methylsalicylate 1.25 g
Terpineol 1 g

Pharmaceutical form: Powder

Pharmacological actions:
Boric acid is a disinfectant with bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties. Boric acid is used in patients with vaginitis due to candida infection. Alum precipitates proteins and has powerful astringent effect in addition to hemostatic effect. Phenol is an antiseptic and disinfectant and is effective against a wide range of microorganisms including some fungi and viruses.
Eucalyptol and methylsalicylate have characteristic aromatic odour. Thymol is a phenolic antiseptic with antibacterial and antifungal activity. Terpineol has disinfectant properties. Menthol dilates blood vessels causing a sensation of coldness followed by analgesic effect.
Collectively, Lanetal powder is characterized by bacteriostatic, fungistatic, astringent, deodorant and soothing effects.

Lanetal powder is indicated in the following cases:
- Vaginitis due to bacterial and/or fungal infections.
- Increased vaginal discharge, itching and change in odour.

Dosage & Administration:
One tablespoonful of Lanetal powder or the contents of one packet of Lanetal is put in a suitable container and one litre of warm water is added and stir to ensure complete dissolution, the solution prepared is used as vaginal douche once or twice daily or as directed by the physician.

Pregnancy and lactation:
There are no adequate and well controlled studies in pregnant and lactating women.

The solution of Lanetal powder is colourless and not staining.

- 12 packets each of 10 g.

- Glass jar each of 100 g.

Store in a dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, protect from light.
