Each tablet contains:

Khellin 20 mg
Maize starch 79 mg
Lactose monohydrate 100 mg
Carboxymethyl cellulose sodium 5 mg
Talc 5 mg
Magnesium stearate 1 mg
Ethyl alcohol 0. 035 mg

 
Pharmaceutical form:

Pharmacological actions:
Khellin is a vasodilator which also has a bronchodilatory action. It intensifies coronary and myocardial circulation, acting as a mild positive inotrope. It has an antispasmodic effect on smooth muscles.

Indications:
•    Treatment of angina pectoris, cardiac insufficiency, paroxysmal tachycardia &extrasystoles.
•    Treatment of asthma & whooping cough.
•    Treatment of vitiligo when used in conjunction with ultraviolet-A light.
•    Treatment of cramp like complaints of the abdomen.

Dosage:
1-2 tablets, 3 times daily after meals.

Precautions & Side effects:
Infrequently, a cholestatic jaundice (reversible) is observed following administration of the drug. The drug also possesses a phototoxic effect.

Overdosage:  
Long term use or overdose of the drug can lead to nausea, dizziness, loss of appetite, headache or sleep disorders. Very high dosages, corresponding to over 100 mg khellin may cause elevated levels (reversible) of liver enzymes in blood plasma.

Box containing 20 tablets.

Storage:
Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30° C.
